Does Player FM support picture-in-picture (PiP) mode?
Player FM Android and iOS now support picture-in-picture mode. This feature allows you to watch video podcasts while browsing content or navigating between apps on your device.
To enable PiP mode, play a video podcast episode first. You can browse several video podcasts by going to the Discover screen and tapping Videos on the top bar. Once you press play, the app's full-screen player will open.
When the podcast starts playing, you can tap the PiP mode icon (i.e., the icon beside the Share icon) on the top right. This will enable the picture-in-picture mode, letting you watch the podcast in a small window and browse content on Player FM at the same time. You can also switch to other apps. The podcast will continue to play on PiP mode, allowing you to multitask without disrupting your podcast-watching session.
The small video window also has options that let you close it, control playback, or go back to the Player FM app. In addition, you can expand it by performing a "reverse pinch" gesture, and move it by dragging it around your device's screen.
